Who is responsible

Information we handle

You can use the site without creating an account. The calculator works in your browser: we do not ask for your name, payment details or the cards you enter, and we do not store your hands in an account or database.

As with most websites, the hosting service may handle technical information such as your IP address, browser details, requested pages and error logs to deliver and secure the site. If you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message so we can reply. These are not necessarily anonymous data.

Analytics, search reports and cookies

Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 (GA4): if a Tag Manager container is configured through this app, it loads only after you choose “Allow analytics”. The container can then load a GA4 tag. GA4 may use cookies and collect information about pages viewed, approximate location, browser and device, and interactions. Reports may be aggregated, but the underlying information should not be described as fully anonymous. We use it to understand which pages are useful, not to make gambling decisions about individuals.

Google Search Console: we use Google’s reports about how this site appears in Search, including clicks, impressions, search queries and popular pages. This information comes from Google Search; Search Console does not itself add an analytics cookie or visitor-tracking script to this app. Google may omit some queries from its reports to protect privacy. You can choose “Decline analytics” or change your choice through “Cookie choices” in the footer when Tag Manager is enabled through this app. The choice is saved in your browser. If no choice appears, this app has not been configured to load Tag Manager. This consent covers only the container loaded by this app; any tags added outside it, or non-analytics tags added inside it, must be checked separately and disclosed here before use.

Google’s own handling of information is described in its privacy policy. Hosting and email providers may process the technical or correspondence information described above to provide those services.

Why we use information and how long we keep it

Technical records are used to deliver and protect the site; our basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website. We use emails to answer enquiries. Optional analytics is based on your choice, which you can withdraw at any time.

We keep correspondence only while it is needed to handle an enquiry and any related obligations. Technical logs and, if enabled, analytics data are kept according to the relevant provider settings; you can contact us to ask about the current retention periods. Google and other providers may process information outside the UK under their own arrangements.

Your rights and contact

Under applicable UK data protection law you may have rights to access, correct, erase or object to the use of your personal data, subject to legal limits. Contact hello@blackjackstrategy.uk with a request. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
